The international link - Melbourne / Mountain View USA -  was down for
30 minutes (13:47 to 14:16 AEST) today (23rd January)

OTC advised that they had power problems with equipment at Oxford
Falls.

These problems have been resolved as I understand.

(oh the difference in dealing with OTC compared to Telecom! OTC are
informative, return your calls, give you a credit when your link is
down, are pleasant and helpful over the phone.....)


(There is a longer posting of the problems that we have been having
with the Melbourne - Canberra links and Telecom somewhere in the USENET
system... but not on my news server!  Hopefully we will all be able to
see a copy of this posting rsn.)
