the link from LaTrobe uni to uni of Melbourne died at 17:10 today. None of their computer centre or comp sci modems are answering, so I guess they've had some sort of power glitch with the current electrical storms. More news as it comes to hand... - douglas ray doug@unimelb.edu.au networks & comms

Sure was a power failure :-) The power loss also affected the main computer room airconditioning and also put the main VAXcluster system disk into a bit of a spin.
