There may be a short period of downtime on the international link at 23:30 EST

the scheduled upgrade of the link to 768Kbps.

Excellent. What speed is this particular link running at present?

Please excuse me if I'm not supposed to post into this group.

Take care,

| Excellent. What speed is this particular link running at present?

512Kbps. Its a 50% increase.

At the minute we still don't know when the actual upgrade is supposed
to happen - the 16th (tomorrow) is possible, but we don't know in
which timezone we're supposed to interpret that (it may be the 16th
US PST, which would be Weds here).

The router swap went entirely as expected, though what's there on
the 512K link till it dies is a lower performance router, that
was originally swapped out because it couldn't really cope, so its
possible that for the remaining short time till the link is upgraded
performance is degraded a little.

We do now (as of an hour or so ago) have the new circuit to the US
operational - we can loop paclets around it, but it doesn't go quite
as far as the termination point at NASA yet.
