Hi.

I've been browsing the ATO site looking for any information about "IF"
membership in the ACS is tax deductable for IT Professionals.

The following quote from the ATO site makes it look like membership
fees are not deductable because you don't need to be a member of the
ACS to work in IT.

Any thoughts?

"The cost of periodical subscriptions to trade, business or
professional associations is claimable as a deduction. However, there
must be a direct connection between the derivation of your assessable
income and the need to subscribe to the association."
