WANTED - Editor-in-Chief

The Journal of Research and Practice in Information Technology (JRPIT)
is an international quality, peer reviewed journal covering innovative
research and practice in Information Technology. Now in its 34th
edition, it was, until 2000, the Australian Computer Journal and has
been published by the Australian Computer Society continuously since
November 1967.

The Journal has a dual emphasis and contains articles that are of
interest both to practicing information technology professionals and
to university and industry researchers. In particular, it encourages
papers that report on activities that have successfully connected
fundamental and applied research with practical application. The
journal thus publishes papers relating to both emerging research and
to professional practice.

The term of the current editor-in-chief concludes at the end of 2002
and thus the Society is looking for a new editor-in-chief to commence
2003, for a period of three years. The position is honorary and
reports to the Director, Publications Board of the ACS.

Expressions of interest, outlining past editorial experience,
qualifications and a short cv, should be sent to the current
editor-in-chief, Professor John Roddick, jrpit@infoeng.flinders.edu.au
by December 7th.

Expressions of interest in becoming an Associate Editor of the Journal
should also be submitted (and clearly marked) to the same address.
