Yes, take any number (n) and raise it (^) to the power zero (0) and you get
one(1).
2^2 = 4; 2^1 = 2; and so (by analogy?), 2^0 = 1.
I've yet to see proof of this, as distinct from dogmatic assertion.
2^? = 0 or is this an absurdity? As zero is always just zero?
2^-1 = 1/2. (ie 0.5) and,
2^1/2 = square root of 2, ie. 1.414
So, 2^0 = 1. (Two multiplied by itself zero times gives one? Or two, or
zero?)
3^0 = 1; 4^0 = 1; 5^0 = 1.....
