Here at the Telecom Research Labs we have over 100 Suns.

We have a versatile on-site calibration and repair center.
Repair of faulty workstations are done on-site using Sun
changeover parts or other sources.

Sun servers are on Sun hardware maintenance agreements
and the Labs have a site licence for operating system
maintenance.

Recently, the repair center had a faulty colour monitor.
The fault was tracked down to a small card with about 
20 components on it. Sun quoted around $1000 to changeover
the card or around $1200 to repair the monitor.
Sourcing the card from other sources was investigated but
unsuccessful.

$1000 seems rather steep for this card given the Labs
has such a commitment to Sun.
