I think that you will find that isolated existence demands a higher
per capita expenditure than that spent on urban dwellers. The
maintenance of roads, mail deliveries, connection of phone and
electricity to my family's property for instance costs a great deal
more than any of these things do in the city.

Lots of people live "out there" and it costs more. Not all are
Aborigines.
