TeX and LaTeX are freely available and should be configuarable for any
sane Unix system. The code is ftp'able from a number of major sites
around the Internet.

The official sources (latest and greatest) are kept at
    labrea.stanford.edu
but you should check out archie.oz.au and other well known Australian
mirror sites before pulling it down from overseas.

If you can't find the latest version locally, perhaps you should
consider making the virgin sources available for ftp from your site
once you downlaod them.

One quick warning: TeX takes a little bit of time and patience to
get up and running 100%. Be prepared to set aside a week or so if
you haven't done this before.
