If you guys are talking about the TeXbook, don't bother. Printing
a copy of this would be highly illegal and unethical. It is available
for you to compare with a store-bought copy of the TeXbook.

If you just want some information to get you started, use archie to
search for:
 essential	"Essential LaTeX"
 
There are some other free guides available. Look on shsu.edu or 
rusinfo.rus.uni-stuttgart.de.
