Any one with experience in this industry, can you tell me what sort of
driving infringements will prevent you from getting work as a truck driver?
I have a couple of careless driving infringements and some speeding fines
which have resulted in one 3 month licence suspension. Will that affect my
ability to gain work?

A less than 10 truck company probably wont do any sort of driving history
check, just send you out with another driver to see how you go.

Over 10 trucks and they will probably have some insurance company enforced
checking in place and your record will come up as an issue for the insurer.

Drink driving, dangerous driving, persistant speeding offence and licence
suspensions will probably exclude you from the better trucking companies
(newer trucks, regulated hours, etc).

Some criminal offences also exclude you from obtaining access to wharves,
customs bond areas, airports and the like.

Your record reads like the perfect resume for a truck driver.
