The SXSW Multimedia Conference is March 14th through 16th and we're
still looking for volunteers to help run the conference. Most of our
volunteer slots are full, but we still need technically adept people
for the A/V crew to help set up the Playroom and Internet Theater, and
to run the A/V setups during the panels.

Volunteers can get into the conference free, if they commit to work 35
hours over those 3 days (there are a few opportunities left to get
those hours at other times too), but there are also lesser levels of
commitment:

20 hours gets you a T shirt
25 hours gets you a T shirt and a wrist band for the Film Festival
35 hours gets you a T shirt, wrist band, and full access to the
Multimedia Conference (or full access to the Film Conference)
60 hours gets you into all of SXSW (Music, Film and Multimedia):
all the conferences, all the films all the clubs ($450 value)

Of course any amount of volunteering gets you into the panel or event
you volunteer to help during, plus you get to rub shoulders with the
giants in the field who will be speaking and showing off their wares.

We need people who will be able to hook up video projectors and
network macs and pc's. If you're interested, e-mail me or call me at
467-9640 or at work 471-6374.

(Note: this is not the same as volunteering to run a booth for an
organization at SXSW.)
