This could also be donated. Used once-upon-a-time-state-of-the-art
hardware exists. You wouldn't want a Sun 2, but there are Sun 3/180s
with 8- and 16-port serial cards that are probably gathering dust in
data centers abd MIS departments throughout your local Silicon Valley.

A site here in San Francisco, toad.com, once gave away a couple of
Fujitsu M2351s, reasonably large hard disks with a reasonably good
record of reliability. This isn't common, but if the word went out,
and a tax deduction came along with it, that would be an Incentive
to many organizations. After all, floorspace == money, and so does
cooling. ( This should be explicitly mentioned in any efforts made
to pitch this to anyone. )
