I'm looking for a host for a hobby site but don't want the free services
with banner ads. If you know of a cheap host that is good let me know!
Thanks,
 BrooksTexas

You can visit your sales rep in person and chew their ass
out when they do not deliver services they promise. :-)

But yeah, for the most part, it probably does not matter
all that much if the service is local or remote. I will
admit that my web hosts are remote, but only because I am
good friends with the owners.

Did you get any response?
I can't see any because this stupid Road Chicken Kill has flushed all posts
from the 25th and back.

Surprisingly yours stayed on.

I'm curious what the prognosis was.
