I have an old (1993!) Avid MC800 Quadra 950 based set up that only goes
up to AVR3e.  I want to increase the resolution on this system, and when
I look in the Avid Resolutions folder I see that there are resolutions
up to AVR26, but I can't call up these resolutions in the Composer.

I called Avid, but they no longer support Nubus systems.  They only
suggest scraping the system and upgrading to an Avid Express, but that's
not in the budget!  Does anyone know where I can legitimately get hold
of the software and/or hardware needed to bump up the resolution on my
current system?
