Quicktime to AVI

I used to be able to export a clip from Media Composer as a Quicktime
movie,
take it over to my NT workstation, open it in Adobe Premiere and save it
as
an AVI.

Now when I try to do this with version MC 7.0, I get the audio protion
of the
movie, but the video is black for the duration of the clip.

Also, Premiere tells me that I need to "flatten" the movie before it
allows me to
import it. This never happened before. What gives? Anyone having similar

experiences? Anyone know a solution?
