We are a production department with nine employees sharing three MC 4000's. Quite often we find ourselves with more projects whose media we want to save than drive space. Currently our options are to choose the media that we think we're LEAST likely to need and: 1) Delete the media but leave the pointers, which means spending an hour or so redigitizing, recreating title medias, reimporting various PICTS, PS files and Quicktimes, and rerendering; or 2) Spending an hour or so dropping the media off onto slow, unwieldy DLT drives, then spending an additional hour or so bringing it back on line. Is anyone using any other offline storage system that works better than the ones stated here? I'm thinking specifically about Jaz drives, but I'd like to hear about anything else people are using. Thanks, Brian Pienkoski Time Warner Communications Rochester, NY 716-756-1500
