I think it must have been SP 3 is the most current service pack for NT...

As far as a dual proccessor system goes, I don't think it's worth it unless
you're banking on AVID multi-threading the MCXpress in the near future.

AVID has told me MCXpress is not currently  multi-threaded.

From personal experience (a dual pentium pro system for lightwave animation) if
the program isn't multi-threaded you get NO acceleration from the second
processor (although you can run 2 programs at full speed (i.e. lightwave
rendering and premier editing) which is pretty cool.

BTW which targa card are you going with? I have an RTX.
