Quicken 2000 check detail report?

I am using quicken basic 2000 and trying to get a report developed.
what i am trying to do is get a report like the check detail report
that is available in quickbooks. by using the transaction report in
quicken 2000 and customizing a little i can get it close, but it won't
subtotal by the check number - it also won't sort by the check
number.  is there any way to get quicken 2000 to build a report with
the transaction report format and have it subtotal and sort by the
check number. i am currently subtotaling by the payee right now, which
works as long as there is only one check to the payee, otherwise it
subtotals all the checks together for that one payee.  printing the
register is the only other thing that i have found that comes close,
but the printout is harder to follow than the transaction report.
