I'm going to go off on a ledge, and say that this hard drive is NOT IDE, or SCSI. In being so, there are no longer any reliable PCMICA interface adaptors for most common PC interfaces, and none that will allow you to use this drive to Boot off of it. If the drive is one of the standard PC interfaces, then you just attach the device to your drive controller. And set the BIOS settings accordingly (set the device, assocated with the drives interface location ie:Secondary master, and set the drive size settings).
