HEY I tried to get back to you about getting you a copy of the Install
disk that I managed to get outta TigerDirect, they had originally shipped me
a Creative SoundBlaster 16 sound card as the original "Blaster" install Disk
for the original....The copy of the original install software has all the
necessary install items...( The FM and Infrared drivers for to Radio and
remote control included...)When I got mine put together, it all worked and
was sorta cool as it was the first time I had built a PC. As to the
commiserate or advice part... I upgraded the Bios chip from e-Support,
allowing for a Large Hard Drive, and upgraded Processors. I had gotten a
slot 1 adapter to run a Celeron 1.3 GHz (1.4 was the max.) processor. With
the 4 SDRAM slots I filled with 256Mb and had I stuck to 100MHz bus speed,
I'd would of had over a 1GB of memory (I don't know how to verify the
maximum RAM with the new Bios chip.) I also have been using a ATA133
controller that came with a 160 GB hard drive that I'd bought allowing for
faster transfer between hard drives (system uses ATA66 controller chipset, I
think) I had played with the idea of overclocking the 550MHz CPU before I
found out I could jump to a 1 GHZ Celeron CPU. Let me know if you'd like a
CD for the "Blaster" ($1.00 plus postage should cover it) Or I could zip
and sent the set-ups for the FM/Infra control if that is all you really
need. copy me at oldognutrx2002@yahoo.com
