Does anybody know if JAVA supports TCP/IP Sockets over Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP)(for serial comms) ??? If so, is there somewhere where I can find out more? If not, do I need to write straight to the RS-232 port? Any help/commentary would be greatly appreciated.
