Caution!!! I purchased a new Intel P5-200MMX processor in July of 1997 and it is now November and my processor has gone bad. This is the problem: Don't purchase an Intel processor from any mail order company that is not a certified Intel distributor. Intel will not warranty a processor unless it was purchased through an Intel certified distributor. I paid 297.00 for it with a 30 day guarantee it is not an oem chip and I am stuck with a useless processor this is a 300.00 learning experience. I hope this helps any one who is trying to purchase a processor make sure you ask them about the warranty and get it in writing buy a motherboard and processor you usually get an extended warranty if you buy both. Don't buy because it is cheaper you will pay in the long run...believe me...
