The recent bits of spamming lead me to wonder if it would be desirable to limit the coverage of certain az.* groups such that non-Arizona folks do not traditionally see that stuff. That is, I am suggesting we consider balkanizing either all or some az.* groups to keep them in our own backyard and neither feed nor accept from non-Arizona providers. Once a stream of groups are let loose into the uunet cesspool, then any moron with a quarter can drop by and insert their unwanted drivel---and it seems that many do. I realize that this might eliminate the valuable contributions from folks on AOL, as well as the questions from people about to move to Arizona about who the best Internet provider is, but that's a sacrifice I'm prepared to make. After all, these are difficult times. If you'd like to vote on this, call 1-900-MAKE-MONEY-FAST and let the operators know your opinions. jms Joel M Snyder, 1404 East Lind Road, Tucson, AZ, 85719 Phone: +1 520 324 0494 (voice) +1 520 324 0495 (FAX) jms@Opus1.COM http://www.opus1.com/jms Opus One PLEASE NOTE: The useful parts of Arizona changed from area code 602 to area code 520 on March 20, 1995.
