Stuffing the ballot box is impolite, Mark. And besides, it didn't fail all
that miserably.

: I figured,
: "Okay, maybe that'll stop the ISP wars for a while." Hey, it did.

Didn't anyone ever tell you not to talk about a good thing?

: Amazing.
: Now, az.general is turning into az.forsale, and az.complain.

I can understand the complaints-- sorta. People need a forum to complain,
because, well, it's human nature to whine pathetically, and unfortunately
az.general is that forum. Any attempt to move the complaints will fail,
since everyone feels their complaint is particularly legitimate and worthy
of examination in the most public of all forums. Since no one would read
az.complain, it would be silly to complain there, because complaining _to_
someone is a key aspect of complaining.

: Therefore, we need az.general.d, to have the people who read az.general
: with any sort of frequency (read: everyone who doesn't post "NEED 42 FAT
: PEOPLE FOR WEIGHT STUDY" and then never read the group again) to get
: together
: and discuss how az.general should be posted to.

How about az.general.network-ly-correct? Then we can stigmatize people who
are not "NC".

: Okay, I just read over that last paragraph, and it made no sense whatsoever.
: But we still need the group. Either that or az.general.no-ads.allowed.

Maybe we should embark on a vigorous and dynamic campaign to oppress the
individuals who post such foolish nonsense. I am very frustrated by the
alarming number of "me and my buddy... we like... came up with this great
money making scheme and we're all going to be rich... just send us some
cash and we'll let you in on it!" Apparently nobody told them not to talk
about a good thing either.

Sending the offending party email doesn't seem as effective as it used to be.
What can we do?

Later,
Jeff
