Hello, I'm italian and I will live in the US for about 4 months.
I need to find a cheap Internet Service Provider, to be able to
connect to the internet. I live in Alexandria, Virginia, and my zip
code is 22310.
(For those who know the area, I live outside the D.C. beltway, 2-3
miles south from it)
I would like to usa internet for email, and for phoning home (I found
a very convenient service that allows to call phones via internet). I
don't know what kind of connections do you have in the States, and I
don't know anything about their velocity. I am loking for a cheap ISP
to which I can connect from my home.
I found a lot of ISP, looking for example at this address

but I really don't know anything about those ISP.  don't know if they
are reliable, if they are still alive, and so on: it's a jungle, by
me.
Can you help me in finding a straight way?
