As most of you already know, a huge sealed environment was build near Oracle north of Tucson called the BioSphere 2. Through out the project's development it was ridiculed by many/most respected scientists as a non-scientific endevour. However, I never heard of a real experiment done to try to accomplish the answer to the question, "Can humans survive in a completely sealed environment?" The next meeting of the United Federation of Phoenix will be this Saturday, 12/6/97, to take a road trip down to visit the BioSphere 2. I understand tours can now go inside. We are meeting at the house of one of our members in north Tempe, to car pool down. The trip is not exclusive, visitors are welcome. The ticket price for the tour is $12.95/adult & $6.00/kid. This will be pretty much an all day event. If you want more information, you can call their info line at (520) 896-6200. If you would like to join us or you would like more info about the UFP please E-mail me. Thank you.
