Yeah it thined out a bit. I don't know of a whole lot going on.

-------------------------------------
I was late in announcing the upcoming CASFiS Mtg. We just had elections. The
results were:

Jim Cryer - President
Jerry Edwards - Vice President

For CopperCon 19 (for Sept 1998)
Ozzie Osman - Chairman
and Jeff George - Banker

And the 3 Board members elected/reelected
Diane Elliot, Jeff Jennings, Adam Niswander.

---------------------------------

CopperCon 18 (for Sept 1997) still does not have a Hotel signed yet, but
should be close.

---------------------------------

There is group putting together a bid for having a WesterCon in the Phoenix
area for the July 4th weekend in the year 2000. A hotel is still trying to be
selected fo that. A few people went to LosCon in Los Angeles weekend before
last to announce our attempts to have one here and to drum up support.

-------------------------------

Corsair Con is selling memberships for the weekend June 12-14, 1998.
It will be at the Ramada Inn

The Star Trek: Experience
Hotel in Las vegas is still scheduled to have it's Grand Opening on Jan 4th,
1998.

The United Fed of Phx is planning a road trip down on the Jan 17 weekend.

--------------------------

TNT is scheduled to re-show the original pilot for Babylon 5 (The Gathering)
with some additional footage that has never been shown and probably never will
again on Jan 4th, 1998

Followed by the season 5 premier movie

The first new season 5 episode on Jan 21, 1998.

--------------------------

Maybe Lee will post an updated TV schedule

---------------------------

I should have a meeting annoucement for the UFP tomarrow.

--------------------------

Several people got passes to go see The Postman with Kevin Costner for
tomarrow night, so we should be able to get a movie review soon.
