Only Shasta build Master pools - yea right! According to the Shasta "Pool Construction Guide" a normal pool installation runs about 30 calendar days. Well, we are going on 2 1/2 months. Our construction experience has been very disappointing and has come to the point where we feel the following is necessary so that others might not experience what we did. We are strongly recommending you do not purchase a pool from Shasta... Summary Pool was started on December 11, 1997 and experienced phenomenal results until December 21. Shasta then failed the same inspection twice for no good reason other than they did not take the inspection seriously. Construction did not continue until 3 weeks later when I requested my money back on 2 separate occasions. Again a flurry of activity for a week and then nothing for another week when again I was forced to contact company management regarding the absolutely horrendous treatment we were receiving. Again a small flurry of activity and here we are just inches away from the pools completion and again they have failed to keep commitments and finish the job. What you don't see in the detail below is that I can't name one instance in which the project superintendent scheduled any of the various sub-contractors. In all cases we had to contact the construction office to schedule the work. In all cases no work was performed until we became angry enough to raise issues beyond the construction office, and beyond our sales person to the management of Shasta. Then and only then was any of the work performed. It is our opinion that when spending over $30,000 for a pool you should be able to expect better treatment. In fact during the time we fought tooth and nail to get our pool completed we saw Dolphin pools start and complete 2 pools and Rondo pools start and complete one. Do yourself a favor, save yourself a ton of aggravation and buy your pool from someone other than Shasta. Details of our wonderful experience are available at http://aerial.net/shasta
