Did you ever think I might just want to weld on a CO2 tank? I was assuming I
could use a CO2 tank for mixed gas.

You may want to reconsider welding on a compressed gas tank. I know, I
know, the tank is empty. If you weld on a tank you will de-rate the tank
to a point where it will be dangerous. You will have no way to know how
much pressure the tank will safely hold. If you are cutting up the tank
to use as art or sculpture, you should be able to buy old tanks for the
price of their salvage value in scrap metal.

That was supposed to be a joke. I'm looking for a tank for CO2 for MIG
welding.
