THEATER:  The San Jose Stage Company is a small theater group located
in San Jose at First and Williams.  It is a very intimate theater,
only five rows deep, which provides the ultimate in "theater
experience".  The season consists of a total of 5 plays spread from
October through June.  The focus of their plays tends to be very
stimulating, thought provoking, and revolve around conditions of the
human spirit.

PLAY:  We will be attending the seasons first play which is a
presentation of "A SKULL IN CONNEMARA".  In his follow-up to THE
BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE, produced last season by San Jose Stage
Company to critical and audience acclaim, playwright Martin McDonagh
takes another skewed look at the inhabitants of this tiny Irish
village where, as the New York Times put it, "existence has become so
tedious that nothing is sacred -- including matricide, patricide,
fratricide and suicide -- if it livens things up a bit." Come see why
McDonagh -- the first playwright since William Shakespeare to have
four different plays performed simultaneously in London - has been
dubbed "the first great dramatist of the 21st century."

AGENDA:  What we do is get together in the downtown San Jose area for
dinner and a play.  Once again, the playhouse is located at the corner
of First and Williams, but we will meet at the "Cafe De Matisse"
coffee shop located at 371 South 1st Street, located across from the
Camera One Theater, down the street from the playhouse.  It is not far
from the corner of 1st Street and East San Carlos.  Plan on arriving
at 5:30pm.  This will give us enough time to eat dinner and get to the
play on time.  Just go into the coffee shop and look for other
confused theater type looking people.  If it helps, I am 6'4" tall
with brown hair and green eyes.  Once we are all gathered we will go
to a local restaurant to dine.  If you arrive after we leave for
dinner, go to the play at the time it is scheduled for.
