Here's a mundane question: I have 31 pounds of brand new Andrew 1-5/8" line installation hardware left over from my broadcast career. There are field flanges, bullets, a 3-1/8" to 1-5/8" reducer, etc. I do Craigslist for more consumer type things, but I was wondering if there were a broadcast equipment related place to sell stuff like this. Thanks, Jim

Up here, stuff like that is posted on the SBE Chapter website and e-mail list. I don't know if Chapter 40 (SF) has the same setup. Give Dane Ericksen a shout. Phil Kane Beaverton, OR

There's also radio-classifieds: http://www.radio-classifieds.com/classpro/viewads.html but ever since they revamped their website the text doesn't line up very well and I don't think they get a lot of traffic. Barry Mishkind maintains a great site: http://www.thebdr.net/ which includes a buy/sell page. You could try there too. Oh - and if you have any 7/8" EIA stuff we might be interested. Dave B.

Since copper as a commodity has been rising a lot in value and likely will keep doing so, maybe I should treat the stuff as another personal investment and simply hang on to it. Heck, its scrap value alone may be approaching $100, which is amazing. >which includes a buy/sell page. You could try there too. Oh - and if >you have any 7/8" EIA stuff we might be interested. I just have 1-5/8" and a smattering of 3-1/8". -- Jim

Hmmmmph. And get off my lawn...

Somewhere in my garage I have couple dozen feet of 1/4" Heliax from a directional station where it was used to pipe sampling signals from the antenna to the transmitter building.
