I've heard Frosty on KFI in the past. I haven't heard him on 910, but I didn't think he was as bad as you make him out to be. [Bad? Think back to David Gold! Now that is run to the radio and push any button bad.] KFI is a baptism by fire gig, since their format is mostly host blather and not a lot of audience participation. 

The guy doing the syndicated show was pretty bad. 

I think it is really hard to do good radio as a solo act. Kind of like stand up comedy. Most people really suck at it, even if you can make a living doing it. But back to radio, the host can take a lot of calls to cover up the lack of talent. It doesn't make for good radio, but that prevents terrible radio. [Karel for example, who talks way too much.]

BTW, I heard Bryan Suits mention John and Ken are also on in NYC.
