Ba.food added back in. Followups set to ba.config, only. Context left in, although I urge people to read the original in ba.config. In article <Pine.GSO.4.21.0007261353030.12687-100000@elaine14.Stanford.EDU>, Cary Steven Howie <chowie@stanford.edu> wrote: >Dave hisses: > >> I will vote NO on this when there is a call for votes, if it gets >> that far. > >Aahz steps on him: > >> You seem to have confused ba.* with the Big-8. I'm shocked, SHOCKED, I tell ya! >Which is precisely why a new group like this ain't such a bad idea. *Do* let me know just how *you* plan to keep boring people and boring posts out of the new group. I didn't hear anything about a moderated group, myself. The more I see on this, the more I am "agginit". Now ba.in-n-out or ba.krispy-kreme or ba.my.hometown.pizza.is.better I might still go for. Am I correct in assuming that most of the folks who are ba.food regulars and have expressed interest in a new group would be just as happy to keep nattering away in ba.food? Note to Meg's emailers: if you haven't spoken up and made your own cases, this is the time to do so. It has been my observation that threads about *n-n-**t b*rg*rs, b*g*ls, h*m*t*wn p*zz*, and now kr*spy kr*m* have been the ones that "growed like Topsy" for the most part, the current cocktail-party-in-progress notwithstanding. I don't think ba.food is particularly high volume (I read several groups that get 100-300 posts daily, with the help of my trusty newsreader, which sorts by subject lines and will zap the ones I don't want to read).
