A proposal for a new newsgroup: ba.history This is not meant to sarcasm. There's a heck of a lot of history floating around in BA newsgroups. The BA is an everchanging myrid of twisty little passages, all alike. A heck of a lot of poeple could contribute in an effort towards a unique history, a newsgroup possibly. We've seen cherry and almond orchards turn into condos, bridges blown up, artichokes turned to weed, and power plants that warm our waters. Psychadelic mushrooms are getting sparse, and the Berkeley phenonomon is oh-so everchaning. High-Tech, companies build, then flutter. Earthquakes crumble. Highways [re]built from one-lane roads, and politicians that can't think beyond their lifespan. Were forgetting to write history as its perceived. -sw
