It seems that windshield replacement happens so infrequently they don't care about customer satisfaction or repeat business. It's more about maximizing profit each and every time. I needed a new windshield in the late 80's and some mobile glass guy was the lowest price, so insurance company asked me to go with him. I discovered years later that he broke off all the clips under the lower chrome strip, requiring that the it be glued to the glass. This means it gets destroyed whenever it is removed in the future, and therefore has to be replaced. And I didn't save the paperwork for that, so I don't even know who to tell you to avoid! Just ask a lot of questions.
