I can't recommend and specific doctors, but I am pretty sure that the 
best technology will depend on your prescription.  You should have your 
corneas checked also. I understand that corneal thickness is a major 
factor when it comes to those "disaster" cases we occasionally here 
about in the news.

My brother had the laser eye surgery years ago and while he was happy 
with not having to wear glasses, he says his eyes have gotten worse now 
and so he will probably have to wear glasses anyway.
