A long time ago there was original Glide,
the Gore companie's super teflon floss.
Bought out by Crest, if now shreds instantly.

Is there any floss out there as good as the
way Gore's original Glide was 7 years ago?

Long's drugs was carrying "Hi-Tech" floss, which I believed to be
identical, but lower in price, to the Glide. Then Longs started
carrying "Superslip" in a nearly identical dispenser, but I believe it
is actually made by Crest since it shreds so easy. When I can find a
Long's that carries the "Hi-Tech", I buy it.

The older Teflon floss had a tendency to get stuck between your teeth
then snap violently into your gums. I tried that a couple of times,
spit out all the blood, and threw it in the trash. Crest made it more
fibrous so it doesn't snap out of tight spots. Now it shreds and leaves
bits of itself between your teeth.

Got some Leader Brand Dental Floss - "Mint Advanced Slide",
It is as good as the old Glide - but it's very thin, too thin,
but at least it does not break off between my teeth!

I just bought brytonPick at Meijer for a discount...its pretty cool
stuff, great alternative to regular floss, and it wont shred between
teeth..its a hi-tech flosser...check it out if you have interest, and
Meijer has it on sale if you have them in your area...

That looks interesting, but it's not Dental Floss, it's kind of
a travel alternative to floss.

A bit off the original subject, but I want to mention that I bought some
Radius Natural Silk floss at Whole Foods. Oh, what a mistake! Way too
stiff and hard to use. I guess I was thinking that silk shirts were so
nice and supple, so the floss would slip between teeth real easy. nope!
