Does anybody know a good resource for determining what dental implants cost 
in the Bay Area?  My wife is in the middle of the process of getting one and 
they sure seem quite expensive.  I think we will be into $6-7K before this 
done and that is for one tooth.

We live on the peninsula.  I've seen ads for them claiming under 3K in 
Fremont.  Supposed that includes the whole thing: appointment to determine 
the work, removal of bad tooth and packing of hole, months later the 
insertion of the metal post, and then months after that the placement of a 
crown.   I am wondering what the average price for this type of work is.
