After almost a decade of use, SWMBO's most-favored pair of multi-hoop gold earrings have broken. I knew upon purchase, given the daintiness of the hoops, this was always a possibility but I didn't know they were destined to become heirlooms for one of my daughter-units. (This rule is not listed in my manual provided upon my wedding day.) Can someone recommend a local jewelry repair or artisan that could put Humpty Dumpty back together again? I'd much prefer a San Jose address but will travel to the far reaches of Los Gatos or Sunnyvale or Santa Clara. Many thanks! The Ranger

Gleim the Jeweler is a very well respected family owned and operated jewelry store. They've been in business for over 75 years. They have jewelers and goldsmiths on staff and can do many repairs at their stores. They'll provide free estimates. I've had my Rolex watch polished and cleaned at their store. It's a first class operation all the way. They're located at Stanford Shopping Center and also in downtown Los Altos. They also have a shop in downtown Palo Alto but they're shutting that one down so I don't know if they'll still do repairs at that location. http://www.gleimjewelers.com/ - Peter
