That's BS. The search for rental housing is NEITHER time consuming NOR very costly. Rents have fallen through the floor and vacancy rates are HIGH !

In Berkeley it is! Most of the residents in Berkeley are students, and UC enrollment keeps growing! Rents here keep increasing, vacancy rates are not high.
