You still don't get it, even after experiencing it for a couple of
years? It's the _landlords_, not the dot-coms, that have the
greed problem. The dot-com companies just have the money to pay
the outlandish rents, since they got their multi-million-dollar
VC funding.

Put the blame where it belongs, please.

No, you're wrong. Most landlocklords are part of the group of greedy
putzheads in the bay area. I've been experiencing this for a lot longer then
'a couple of years', more like 11 and EVERY tangible money service or
product in the bay area has gone up by a factor of x 4 to x 400 where as
everywhere else in the country, it's been x 1.5 to x 2.5 - and that's the
hard sucky truth via direct experience.

While on tour 3 years ago, we vomited again when we stayed in a house one
night in Denver. Oh, I dunno... it was a 2 story with attic and basement (so
three levels), something like 4 + 2 or 5 + 3... didn't see the whole thing.
The basement was something like 30 feet by 70 feet. At the time a place like
this in Marin/SF would go for probably $4000 (today, try $8000-$12000 and
no, that's not a joke as I know of a place similar to this which is $12000).

You don't want to know how much the rent was....

but for those just dying to know...

$800.00 a month

Have a nice day.

Why don't you go to Denver then?

I worked for 15 years to buy my house in SF. Have you had a job for 15
years? I didn't think so. I had to move away for awhile.I am moving
home soon. Maybe you should do the same.
I wish you the best you are capable of accomplishing with the means
at your disposal.
