I'd appreciate any information that anyone might have about a strange
telephone number in San Francisco. The number is (415) 566-7777. I
found this number on a printed sticker at a Muni stop downtown -- it
advertised free "Hidden Wisdom" or some such silliness, so I decided
to give it a call. What you hear when you call is a recorded message,
often of a bizarre, dreamy kind. Apparently, the message changes
about once a week. Most of the messages are pretty useless (too
obscure), but occasionally one is well worth hearing. I've been
calling this thing for about 6 months, and I still can't get a sense
of what it's all about or who's behind it. If you have any info, I
sure would appreciate it!
