This news group is ba.news.
You would think that the purpose of this group is to post timely information
(news), but it's not.  That's supposed to go to ba.announce [moderated for
the better posts] or miscellaneous discussion should go to
ba.general [unmoderated] (unless a more specific group exists
like ba.politics, or ca.politics, etc.  LOOK,
THAT'S WHY WE CREATE THOSE GROUPS FOR YOU GUYS, so USE THEM).

The purpose of the ba.news group is the discussion of the administration
of San Francisco Bay Area net news systems.  Additionally, ba.news.group
and ba.news.config are also set up to cover those discussions.

1) Don't cross post to this group unless an article involves administration,
configuration, etc. of software news systems.  Avoid excessive cross-posting.

2) If you Follow-up to cross-posts, edit this hierarchy (ba.news.*) out
of Newsgroup and Followup header lines.

If you have other specific user questions, ask your news administrator.

What goes on in this group: discussion on news groups, changing configurations,
etc.
