I have this variables:

$tm = time();
$mday = date('d', $tm);
$mon = date('m', $tm);
$year = date('Y', $tm);

How i can subtract one day?

For example: $tm = 18/05/2000 -> 17/05/2000
$tm = 01/01/2000 -> 31/12/0999
