VENUS FIDEL 100403:
==================
1.)
FLORIDA FINAL FLOPPO
So, Venus, thanks for getting me out of the house this morning, since
for the TV I had to go down to the Club, and also give you joy for
coming in second in your big home tournament, quite an honorable
result, of course, overall. You might possibly want to review the
originating post in this thread?
WRT my notion, previously mentioned, of your visiting Fidel:
Considering the announced theme of your forthcoming book, it seems
like interviewing the Old Beard FTF would be absolutely irresistible,
eh what? Such a potential boost to the international sales.
Obviously the virtue of elementary prudence would have us bear in mind
that you are surrounded there in southern Florida by locally dominant
numbers of Cuban exiles, many of whom historically are notoriously of
an extremely murderous disposition and closely hooked up with the
Central Stupidity Agency & other spookdumbs.
To deal with that angle of personal safety, herewith a speculation
from a distance:
First you arrange to pay a courtesy call on Govenor Charlie Crist.
Then it looks like the main man for the Miami Cubans = Francisco J.
Hernandez, President of the Cuban American National Foundation (see
Alpha below). Next you visit him for an exchange of views re this
project. You may learn thereby of some moves you can make to further
the interests of all three parties concerned.
Do you choose to go forward at all with this humble suggestion, then I
may have a chance to say more before you beard el viejo in his den.
Should you be interested, I can, for example, supply the perfect
interpreter for the occasion (even if he did once refer to you as
"that idiot tennis player").
Further, do you get serious about maximizing your book's impact, then
you will want to go from Fidel's nursing home to the presidential
palace of Hugo Chavez in Caracas. There's a world class dynamic winner
(touch wood) and international leader.
While you're talking with Hugo, you will doubtless want to ask him to
sound out your chances for getting an interview with President Hu
Jintao of China, with whom Hugo has important trade relations. You
know for sure that the Chinese are keenly interested in developing
their national sports program. Everybody knows that China is rising
while the US is collapsing. Do you succeed in adding to your cap that
waving red feather, then I daresay that billions of eyes all over
Earth will be looking for the coming out of COME TO WIN.
By these means you may use your tennis career to vault to an even
greater one, yes, as a writer.
Now back to the legal question: IMHO you can safely keep your chapters
with Billy Jeff and Skeeza, since they are important personages, even
though deeply criminal ones.
Safely, that is, as long as you refrain from praising them or from
otherwise recommending them as life examples for youth. Do you stay
strictly objective, then OK. Otherwise you would put yourself in the
false & very dangerous position of accomplice after the fact to their
millions of murders. They need you but you can get along without them.
You might list in your bibiography some relevant titles by experts of
integrity such as professors Francis Boyle and James Petras.
You have a sweet rep worldwide whereas those two bloody liars and
their accomplices are as ashes in the mouths of billions. War-mongers
for JAPE
have a dim future in the medium to long run, as the example of the
former dictator of Chile, traitor General Augusto Pinochet already
doth testify.

Exiles Want to Expand U.S.-Cuba Relations
By DAMIEN CAVE
{MIAMI — The leading organization for Cuban exiles here is calling on
the White House to expand relations with Cuba’s government, and funnel
much more public and private American money to the Cuban people.
A 14-page proposal from the group, the Cuban American National
Foundation, lays out what the document calls “a break from the past”
that would “chart a new direction for U.S.-Cuba policy.”
It is the basis of an ongoing discussion with the Obama
administration, White House and foundation officials said, and it
amounts to the group’s most significant rejection of a national
approach to Cuba that it helped shape and that has been defined by
hostility and limited contact with the island.
Foundation officials described it as an effort to direct attention
away from Fidel and RaĂşl Castro and toward the Cuban people.
“For 50 years we have been trying to change the Cuban government, the
Cuban regime,” said the foundation’s president, Francisco J.
Hernandez, a veteran of the Bay of Pigs invasion in April 1961. “At
the present time, what we have to do is change the emphasis to the
Cuban people — because they are going to be the ones who change things
in Cuba.”}[snip]
