As the announced NorCal tournament approaches with the coming weekend,
the Hard-Core Four Burner Optimist (henceforth “HCO”) believes that:
a) Both regionally resident pros, Jiang Mingjiu 7-dan and Janice Kim 3-
dan will decide to play in the event themselves, that they will meet
in the third round and that in the final round HCO himself (or
herself, of course) will meet and defeat the surviving pro.
b) In the awards ceremony Ratan Tata* himself will appear on behalf of
Jaguar Cars Ltd to pour the champion’s cup of Krug.

c) Should HCO herself happen to have been born after 1989 then all
parties present will discreetly disregard any inconvenient local
bluenose regulations.

OTOH Practical Cat and Roger Realist, both of whom will beyond doubt
be incarnated in each of the four sections, believe merely that a)
They will be happy at least to break even in their group and b)
Financial fate will forgive them for spending $35 to compete.

Visionary Filmaker has surely tucked away my suggestion WRT our game
as a subject bearing pivotally both on both our emerging world fusion
culture and on the achievement of happiness in old age. Speaking of
which, didja notice Jane Fonda on the cover of the current VANITY
FAIR? (At least that’s what it looked like an hour ago as I sauntered
by the mag stand at Borders Books. Is Borders doomed, too, like so
many bookstores already fallen? Maybe I will save my sales receipt as
a possible collectors’ item?)

Now it may indeed come to pass that more than four days hence will be
needed to bring to fruition these my two modest proposals in this
thread. In the meantime, however, it so happened that at the SFGC
night before last I got an H3 game from a visiting Japanese 5-dan and
won by a large margin. I proposed that handicap being currently ranked
as a weak 2-dan by the AGA.

In general over the last 5 decades, and especially since my
introduction to the Usenet in 1994, it has been my experience that
when one speaks righteously to Mother Earth or to the Great Spirit a
benefit is often likely to redound by circuitous ways. Besides, it’s
fun!

Now briefly to the hecklers on this thread:
The first positive result = I have finally come up with a nick-name
for the worst of the worst, to wit “HenK” for Kissinger, and my
apologies to all honest folk who bear that name with the “k” in the
lower case.

Next comes this {Michael Alford <m...@aracnet.com>} chap, who claims
to be striving worthily against the wrecker “Anti-DabianchenVirus” yet
in his New Year’s Eve post wishes to suggest that I somehow have “a
reading problem”, a slur definitely belonging in the well-known BPK or
blackpotkettle category.
Curiously enough, Mr.Alford quotes my own reproach to him, which even
the most casual review of the thread will make clear and which he
utterly fails to comprehend.

of My Favorite Things and F2 runs into the room with its hair on fire.
F2 has tacitly conceded the truth of my charge that its ridiculous
intervention on this thread is motivated by a Hidden Beef, as they say
in the slammer. Specifically F2 agrees with JAR or the Jewish-American
Regime in cheering on the Yids’ murder of little girls such as Abir
Aramin, Akaber Zaid, the wee Rabbo Sisters and (counting their control
of the USGov) quite literally millions of other small victims. Whereas
I propose to lock up HenK and all of his many accomplices in waging
aggressive war. F2 knows better than to try forthrightly to defend the
awful atrocities in question against my expertise in the subject, so
he tries to fog over the picture by slobbering around with his
generally mindless spittle. He may even have stuck in a good idea
somewhere, do I have time to review it. Cutting down “My Hot Lynx” by
9/10ths and providing a link to the full remainder for the interested
reader sounds like a good idea to my novice self. Maybe One Fine Day
I’ll get around to it.
