Powerbook Duo 230 for sale to San Francisco Bay area buyer in a
face-to-face transaction.

This Powerbook was born a Duo 210, and now has a 230 motherboard
installed 12/96. Latch on PB lid broken, but WetSuit case keeps it shut.
Other hardware immaculate condition. Nothing is more than 20 months old.
Here's the summary and itemized list of accessories:

- 33mHz 68030
- 24M RAM (TechWorks, new MacWorld 1/97)
- 240 M Hard Disk (Quantum)
- Apple internal 14.4 bps Express Modem
- 16-level greyscale passive matrix screen at 640 x 400

- 3 power supplies
- 1 recharger (recharges two batteries simultaneously)
- System software of your choice 7.1 through 7.6.1.
- Clarisworks and other software if you like.
- Apple Technical Documentation Acrobat File at my ftp site (1.3M file)
  ftp://u1.netgate.net/u/ricercar/mac/DuoSystem.pdf

Four docking bars, worth most of the price of admission:
- NewerTech Etherdock (10MB/sec 10BaseT ethernet and ADB)
- Apple FloppyDock and Floppy Drive (ADB, Floppy)
- NewerTech SCSI Dock (30-pin PowerBook SCSI, ADB)
- RasterOps ColorDock (8-bit color on up to 1024x768 external monitor
  also ADB, sound, floppy connectors).
This dock is rumored to work with 2300, but not 68040 (280, 280c).

$600 mostly firm. I'll lower the price if you can show me a college ID,
lower it A LOT for a high school ID.

If you want to PREPAY, I'll consider non face-to-face deal, even ship it
insured. No COD, so don't ask. Once burned, forever shy.

Why for sale? This fall I got me a 20th Anniversary Mac and a ThinkPad;
I don't want this faithful Duo to end up in the closet next to my
Commodore 64. :-)
