I got an X terminal (NCD) and a telebit (world blazer 14400) modem. I got a unix account with netcom company. when i switch on the terminal, after doing it's mem testing, i am getting an x-window. right now, my mouse is ineffective. is it because i don't have .Xdefaults file. how can i get multiple windows and also various other window functions like move, changing size, iconifying etc. i don't have manual for my NCD X-terminal. I sincerely appreciate if somebody can help. thanks, appa@netcom.com (408)735-9105

You probably don't have the software either. Two things needed, xremote roms in the ncd, and xremoteinit on netcom. I don't know if netcom has any x, I'd think not. Besides, you'd need the specific software ncd provides with their xterminals to run it over a dialup. Try ftp.telebit.com, there's an application note describing in a bit more detail using an ncd xterm. ../Steven
