How can a window find out where it is located with respect to
the root window?
XGetGeometry tells a window where it is with respect to its
parent, which is not the same thing.
Consider, for example, an application which always wishes to draw
an arrow pointing towards the center of the screen. How can it find
out where it is located on the screen?
thanks,
